Western Digital Announces My Book WDH2Q40000N Studio Edition II 4TB Hard Drive

Taking external storage or back up to new heights, Western Digital has announced their 4 terabyte capacity My Book WDH2Q40000N Studio Edition II hard drive.  While it’s no looker it does features a RAID 0 configuration and Firewire 400/800, eSata and USB 2.0 interfaces.  Inside are two 2TB hard drives with WD GreenPower technology for power savings and fanless operation.  The WDH2Q40000N is available for preorder from Amazon for $599.99 and ships June 16th.

With this much storage I’d expect a NAS server.
