This isn’t the first speaker like device we’ve seen targeted at the bicyclist demo, and I’m confident it’s not the last.  The Podio is small and cylindrical speaker cum MP3 player that can be mounted on a bike’s handlebars or simply carried in the hand.  It includes 2GB of storage and reportedly has a 9-20 hour battery life via the built-in speaker depending on volume.  The company lays claims to the ‘first ever invented pocket Hi-Fi device’, which has been achieved after two years of ‘intense research and development’ – color me skeptical.

The company is currently seeking distribitors, so don’t expect it to show up in the US or UK any time soon.
