peeweepc-3

PeeWeePC just officially unveiled what has to be the most kid friendly advanced laptop to date.  Never mind that it packs in a 1.6GHz Intel Atom Processor N270 with a 945GSE Chipset, 60GB HDD, 2-in-1 SD/MMC reader, 1GB of DDR2 RAM, and WiFi b/g/n.  The PeeWee Pivot Tablet Laptop features a convertible rotating screen that convert it into a touch tablet that accepts drawing and writing via its stylus input.  And because kids are prone to spills and drops the PeeWee Pivot Tablet Laptop is liquid and shock resistant.  Other features include a proprietary security suite allowing parents to limit their child’s website surfing behavior, 1.3 megapixel camera, 6-cell battery and weighs less than 3lbs.  The PeeWee Pivot Tablet Laptop is available now for $599.99.

PATA HDD? It’s not that kid-tough then…or fast for that matter. I wonder how many drops it will take.
