HP isn’t exactly known for sleek and svelte laptops, but the 12-inch HP Pavilion DV2-1030 might just change a few minds.  Under the hood of the 1-inch thick, 3.81lb machine is an 1.6Ghz AMD Athlon Neo Processor MV-40, 320GB hard drive, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3410 graphics card, 4GB of DDR RAM, WiFi b/g/n, 5-in-1 media card reader, 1 HDMI port, 6-cell battery and external DVD burner.  The visuals come courtesy of a 12.1-inch LED Brightview display with a 1280×800 resolution, and features an HP webcam and microphone embedded in its bezel.
