acer-apsire-timeline-1

Last night we saw Acer’s new all-in-one desktop computers.  Also released at last night’s event was the Aspire Timeline laptops that draw their namesake from an extended battery life – up to 8 hours – courtesy of something Acer calls Laminar Wall Jet technology, which ‘redirects cooling air along the bottom side of the notebook, making it lighter, more efficient, longer lasting’.   Although the battery life of the three machines – 13.3-inch, 14.4-inch and 15.6-inch – has yet to be proven we do know the official specs.

Inside the machines expect Intel Core2 Duo or Solo processors, WiFi, Wimax, up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM, up to 320GB hard drive or 80GB SSD, 5-in-1 media card reader, DVD burner, Intel video processing power and all models will include a 1366×768 resolution LED backlit LCD for maximum power efficiency.  Weight for each respectively larger machine will be 3.5lbs, 4.2lbs and 5.3lbs.

No word on a street date, but expect the Acer Aspire Timeline laptops to cost between $699 and $899.
