Sony Releases First Blu-ray Player With Built-in WiFi, The BDP-S560
Since I’m on the Sony tip, I might as well follow up with the Sony BDP-S560 Blu-ray player. It’s far from a ‘ground breaking’ product, but to those who are averse to the 20 foot Ethernet cord lining their living room walls, they’ll surely enjoy the built-in WiFi. This means wireless firmware updates, photo streaming to DLNA compliant TV sets and access to BD live cord free. On the face of the player is a USB input and probably the usual mess of outputs on the rear.
Expect the BDP-S560 this summer for about $350.
