The Max Payne movie was miserable.  It really made me take notice that many video games are far better than movies.  Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic to the three newer Star Wars films as a prime example.  Nonetheless, the Max Payne movie must have sparked some resurgence into the franchise as Rockstar Vancouver has announced that Max Payne 3 is in development and will be available next winter.  This will be the first installment of the Max Payne series on current gaming consoles as it will be released on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC platforms.  No word on story or plot line but Rockstar claims that the game will continue after the events of Max Payne 2.  The first two games were highly entertaining and I just hope there will be no such Mark W. voice overs or movie tie ins.
