NVIDIA announced plans to develop x86 compatible processors within 2-3 years, much to the chagrin of Intel. The all-in-one chip, integrating media processing with the general processor, will be designed for use in netbooks or handhelds. Competition is a very good thing for consumers so this is welcome news indeed. Hopefully, NVIDIA will stay afloat long enough to make this a reality.
