Until I bought my Specialized bicycle a few years ago, I thought they were all about function and completely void of form. Turns out I was wrong. When I started shopping for the right bicycle I realized I was searching for both form and function. Some how aesthetics got in my head and I ended up with a $550 Centrum single speed bike (I ended up getting $100 off, though). And the Wire Bike from Romanian designer Ionut Predescu is no exception to my newly adopted rule. In place of a few cross bars are high strength carbon fiber and Kevlar cables that apparently cut down on the bike’s weight all the while making it look bad ass. Lighter. Stronger. Either way I’d ride this for the attention alone.
