Apple Cell Phones iPhone — 19 March 2009

A week from today you will be able to enter an AT&T store and purchase a contract free Apple 3G iPhone. Respectively priced at $599 and $699 for 8G and 16G models, the iPhones will be totally free from the standard two year service contract. What I haven’t heard is whether or not the monthly charges will drop. I mean honestly Basil, who would get a different phone once they get an iPhone? In my opinion this will only be worth it if the monthly plans will be less. Otherwise it would still cost less to cancel your plan than to pay an extra $400 or $500 to avoid not ever having to? Beats me.
