It’s not surprise – at least to me – that the $10 (or $20) laptop isn’t in fact a laptop at all. According to Merinews the Sakshat (aka Rs 500) is actually a device that can store information and when a laptop is connected can print out the stored info. To say that this news is a disappointment is probably an overstatement as many of us knew that the $10, $20 or even $30 laptop is pretty unrealistic at this point. But now that I say that, watch India drop a $40 laptop on us next week.
