Nintendo Officially Announces US Release Date and Price For DSi

Wow! I’m in total shock. Last month IGN floated a rumor that the Nintendo DSi would go on sale State side on April 4th for $179.  Today, they officially announced the updated portable gaming unit’s launch date and price: $170 and April 5th. Big hat tip for IGN. In case you’re wondering, $170 is less than what the Japanese paid when the DSi hit, but in light of the economic woes us Americans are having it’s not too surprising.
