Scientists from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and Rice University jointly developed a microchip, the PCMOS (probabilistic complementary metal-oxide semiconductor), that runs seven times faster while using thirty times less energy compared to today’s technology.
Click the link below for details but what this means is that you’ll be able to charge the phone every few weeks instead of a couple of days. And with faster computing power? Seems too good to be true.
According to the developers, PCMOS should be available to the consumer in four years.
