Movies — 20 February 2009

Sometime in 2010 Netflix might roll out a ‘streaming only’ plan according to its CEO, Reed Hastings. And given the popularity of the feature and Netflix’s desire (and the post office) to move away from the physical disc I wouldn’t be too surprised. Unfortunately, this might result in a premium price for the service and then of course you’ve still gotta battle your cable company over bandwidth costs and capping.
On another Netflix note, the company has formed partnerships with popular movie review sites that will enable its customers to add movies instantly to their queue without entering the Netflix interface.
