Lacie D2 Blu Ray Burner To Help Get Pirated Movies Off Your Computer

lacie_d2_external_bluray_drive

Actually manufactured by Panasonic, the Lacie D2 Blu Ray Drive looks very cool with all the format logos draped on the disc tray.  Here’s the specs:

  • Writes up to 50Gb on a single dual layer BD-R disc
  • Supports USB 2.0 and Firewire connections
  • Writes at speeds of 4x to 8x with USB 2.0 capping out at 6x
  • Supports BD-RE, DVD+-R, DVD+-RW, DVD+-R DL, CD-R and CD-RW discs
  • Writes data files
  • Plays back BD-ROM, BD-ROM AACS, BD-R and BD-RE discs

Note: Blu Ray playback is currently prohibited by current Mac OSX systems.

Though a hefty price tag at around $450, it won’t come close to all the money you stole from Hollywood.  No street date yet.

This is just dumb well anyone dumb enough to buy one of these let alone a blu-ray player lmao. This format is doomed to be failure. Says it supports dvd and cd’s yet it cant play em back? FYI pirates dont give 2 craps about blu-ray let alone release alot of pirated crap on this format. You get same picture and sound quality from from an HD rip in standard format. Yes there is some blu-ray rips out there but maybe in the low 2%. I frequent alot of torrent sites so i know lol.
