iWood Cobra iPhone Case…I Would Not Buy This

iwood-cobra-5

Holy expensive iPhone case!  The iWood cobra is crafted from what I hope is some sort of rare and opulent wood.  Better yet, I hope the rain forest experienced extreme deforestation, otherwise I just won’t know how to justify the price tag of $150!  It’s available in two tones: Padouk/Maple and Wenge/Maple.

“iWood Cobra iPhone Case…I Would Not Buy This”, is the title of your article. It might be me but have you actually said why? (Referring to it’s performance that is).

I thought it was clear. Given the cost and what you get hardly makes it worth while…in my opinion.

It is an awsome case, just like the iPhone is a beautiful phone – and that’s what you pay for.
The price of the iPhone is also to much – but that’s again a personal matter: if you want one than it’s not expensive, if you don’t than it is.

Ignoring cost though. What’s the case like. I’ve already decided that I like it, (A LOT). Just want to know if the fit and finish is good and if it’s durable?

Both paduk and wenge are moderately rare woods. Depending on the quality of the layup/finish and the precision of the closure the price isn't that out of the question. A bit inflated, but certainly not ridiculous.

It certainly is ridiculous, you could make 10 cases out of a 30 dollar 1″x4″ wood. Wenge isn't “rare”
