Apple iPhone iPhone Apps — 18 February 2009

Thanks to games such as Rock Band and Guitar Hero, anyone can be awesome at playing a pseudo instrument. The Air Guitar App by Inedible Software lets you shred on where ever you are, provided you can hear what your air strumming through the speaker. Surprisingly intuitive, you grab one of the bulky frets containing a note and strum away. You can customize your chord progression, alter tunings, use a more advanced mode with more notes, and tilt to use the whammy. So far the reviews are mixed on the App Store, but there are only 9 so far. Looks like it could be fun for a minute, but I would suggest rigging some sort of Wii inspired tether system so your iPhone doesn’t go flying through a pint glass at the pub.
