Take it or leave it, there are rumors floating around that Apple might be preparing an EVDO, or even LTE compatible iPhone.  In other words. Steve’s first suitor, Verizon Wireless, might be the next service provider to get the handset.  Why so?  ITExaminer sites job postings by Apple searching for CDMA and EVDO engineers.  Although this is a strong indication that an EVDO or VZW(or Sprint, highly unlikely, though) iPhone is in the works, it’s not out of the question to assume that AT&T has an exclusive with Apple until 2012, and that Apple is planning to integrate EVDO or CDMA chips into their line of laptops – although I don’t see why they wouldn’t go with WiMax.
