I know what you’re thinking: another desktop computer. Well, you partially correct. BFG Technologies computers, called Phobos, are actually targeted towards the extreme ‘graduated’ gamer who doesn’t have time to assemble a rig of their own. Included in the hefty price tag is a Concierge Service that includes in home installation and a 6 month follow up maintenance visit. Now that’s service.
The machines can be outfitted with a variety of components, which include Intel Core i7 965 Extreme Edition 3.2GHz Processor, two upcoming BFG NVIDIA GeForce GTX 295 Graphics Cards, and CoolItContained Liquid Cooling Solutions. The rigs are also outfitted with a slot loading Blu-ray player, iPhone/iPod dock, TV tuner, and DVR functionality. Accessing your media is simple as using the included RF remote or input the command on the optional 8-inch touchpanel screen.
Additional details will emerge here after January 8th, 2009. The Phobos machines will start at $3,000.
