Samsung is set to unveil their latest 2009 HDTVs during CES 2009. 2009 models include a new 3-series, three new 4-series, two new 5-series, four new 6-series, and a new 7 series 7U model.
Feature highlights include:
- Support menu with a flash based user manual
- New tools for diagnosing audio/video problems
- In-menu firmware updates
- Support for 1080p movies encoded in MKV, WMV, VOB, AVI, TS, 3GP, MGP and ASF file formats
- Internet@TV feature which replaces InfoLive
- Yahoo widget support for internet content
- Official DivX certification (for 7, 8, 9 series)
- Blue-ray Wisesync feature to optimize HD playback
- Support for USB 2.0 devices including external drives
- Optical Link Ready
It seems the new TVs are much more internet savvy and will be able to play most of your media files with attached USB storage. Smart move, Samsung.
