Cell Phones — 10 December 2008
Dior released their first cell phone today. Clearly we don’t need yet another crappy, overpriced handset on the market, but these lifestyle brands refuse to leave no stone unturned. The hand brushed aluminum phone measures just 14mm thick and is covered in 640 diamonds totaling 3.25 carats. The Dior phone includes some sort of Bluetooth accessory that is crafted from sapphire crystal and aluminum, but it’s not clear if it’s a mini phone or headset. Other features include a 2.6-inch touchscreen, 2MP camera and the usual myriad of phone features.
As previously reported the phone is said to cost $5,000, but I haven’t been able to substantiate that number.
