SACD and DVD audio lasted about as long as a prom dress stays on in style. Denon, the little audio company that could, still believes in the tech and if you’ve got a library of super audio CDs and/or DVD audio, and mind you can’t stand to have more then one disc player, then they’ve got the player for you: the DVD-A1UD. Hailed as the only true universal player (where’s the HD DVD) the DVD-A1UD can handle all audio formats (on a compact disc) under the Sun, in addition to Blu-rays. Finished in either silver or black, the player includes an SD card slot, DivX support, HDMI 1.3 output, DTS-HD Master Audio/Dolby True HD, 7.1 channel output and presumably an Ethernet port for firmware updates.
The Denon DVD-A1UD can you yours next month in Japan for a staggering $5860.
