Computers Touch Sreen — 05 December 2008
Axiotron, the folks that brought us a Macbook in the form of a touchscreen tablet, has updated their Modbook for 2009. Apple’s OS X now runs more smoothly, longer battery life, a more efficient sleep mode and full Bluetooth for pairing an external keyboard or mouse. They’ve also upped the anty on the casing and added a QuadCoat finish – used by the auto industry – that protects the ‘sturdy-yet-lightweight magnesium top shell’, while reducing weight to 5.3lbs. Axiotron has also improved the display resulting in a better touch response and contrast ratio. Lastly, they’ve enhanced the GPS, which now obtains a quicker fix indoors and outdoors.
You can get your very own Modbook here, starting at $2,250
