Sony Intros 4 New Audio Products: MDR-NC7, MDR-EX36V, DR-BT160AS & SRS-M50
Sony launched 4 new audio products today. Honestly, it’s not the kind of news to break a sweat over, but worth noting in case you’re in the market for noise cancelling headphones or pair of wireless and portable speakers.
First up we have the Sony MDR-NC7 noise canceling headphones. They’re an iteration MDR-NC6 headphones and these ones promise to kill up to 87.4% of ambient noise. They feature 30mm drivers and an over the ear style for greater comfort. The MDR-NC7 are available here for $50.
Next is the SRS-M50 speakers. A little old school these days but they’re small, corded, take batteries for great sound quality, are magnetically shielded and feature 39mm drivers. The SRS-M50s are available in black, pink, and white and are available here for $50.
Following the speakers are another pair of headphones, the MDR-EX36V EX Style Earbuds that features a metallic finish. There’s inline volume control, 3 sized silicone earbuds for comfort and come in red, blue, silver and pink. The MDR-EX36V EX Style Earbuds are available here for $30.
Last, and most certainly not least are Sony’s wireless, behind-the-neck DR-BT160AS Bluetooth Active Style Headphones. No wires to get tangled in, a built-in mic for talking calls on the go, rechargeable Lithium-ion batteries and remote features right on the headphones. The DR-BT160AS Bluetooth Active Style Headphones are built for sports, which means they’re water resistant, light weight and comfortable to wear. There’s even a version for the iPod (Bluetooth dongle). The DR-BT160AS Bluetooth Headphones are available here for $130, or $170 if you’re going iPod.
