About freaking time!  I guess all that bitching and moaning I did finally paid off, or so I’d like to think.  Available now  Mac users can now stream Netflix’s 12,000+ movies and TV shows on their computer.  It’s a beta, so I’m not sure if they’re limiting entries, but I just opted in and the Netflix Blog makes no mention of limited licenses.

There are a few things you should know, even if you’re a PC user.

  1. There might be bugs.  Hence the ‘beta’ part of it.  Netflix wants you to post comments here
  2. Not all 12,000+ movies and TV shows are available for streaming with Silverlight (I’m looking for an exact count) and you might experience lower than norm quality
  3. You gotta have an Intel based Mac
  4. If your a Windows users and you opt into this beta, you’ll have to use Silverlight on all machines (looks like this means it might disable your Netflix Player box)
