The reviews are in and the Intel Core i7, aka Nehalem, is receiving some rave reviews. In the next few days prepare to be bombarded with phrases such as “absolutely blazing!”, “industry-changing!”, “poor AMD!”, and “world peace!?”

The Core i7 is Intel’s next gen processor, significantly surpassing the performance of their Core 2 architecture. Core i7 will scale from 2 to 8 processor cores and each chip will communicate with the others using the faster and more efficient QuickPath technology. Other highlights include better power management, higher level of integration, more scalable memory, and increased multitasking.
