The Kiwi Driving Tools Puts A Prius Computer In Every Car
October 15th, 2008 2:09 PM | by Christen da CostaBy now you’ve heard of the Prius game. If not, it’s when Prius owners drive at obnoxiously slow speeds in order to maximize their MPG, which is displayed on the car’s LCD screen. We’ll saddle on up, because for just $300 you can join them in the slow lane. The Kiwi plugs into your cars OBDII/CAN interface and monitors your car’s acceleration, deacceleration, braking, etc. After time it provides a score from 0 - 100; 0 being the worst and 100 being the best. The intention is to make driving into a game. The better you are at the game, the better the score and the more fuel you save. The device also features training modes to help you maximize your MPG. Since it plugs into your OBDII ports it’s only compatible with vehicles made after 1995.
