Blu-ray — 22 October 2008
OWC (Other World Computing) have announced their latest product, the OWC Mecury Pro Blu-Ray Drive. You can connect it to your computer via FireWire 400/800, USB 2.0 and eSATA. Not only will it read Blu-Ray but write it as well, along with DVD, DVD-RAM, CD-R and CD-RW. This Blu-Ray drive will be compatible with both Macs and PCs and will work alongside iDVD, etc.
The OWC Mercury Pro Blu-Ray drive will set you back $400, but as it’s the first of it’s kind prices should drop once other manufacturers jump in.
