Does it eliminate long-distance roaming charges while overseas? i would use it if it lets you dial as a local number while traveling abroad. (outside the US).

iSkoot sounded great until I actually tried it. IT IS NOT VOIP AT ALL!! No voice travels over IP traffic. I hate this deceiving company now.

This is not any way like skype. Skype is voice over IP. I skoot is voice over my minutes

Garbage. Misleading. Use minutes and of no advantage unless perhaps calling Internationally. Quite lame.

I have written Skype to see what their opinion is about the iSkoot nightmare and I got no response. I waiting to see if any other applications come up for VoIP because as soon as one does I am dumping Skype.

iskoot is not the same as using skype. It uses your bandwidth and mobile minutes for each call. This application is only worthwhile for international calls where you would pay an additional long distance fee.
