Casio, which has long been associated with the digital watch from the 80s, has been building subpar point and shoot cameras for a while now. I owned one for all of 1 week and returned it due to the antiquated UI. Now it looks like they’re trying to eclipse their cameras by stuffing an Exlim 8 megapixel camera into a fliip phone, called the W63CA. Surprisingly, it rocks a kick ass 3.1-inch OLED screen with a 480×800 resolution – you won’t find that on their point and shoots. Other features include a VGA video camera at 30fps, microSD slot and 9-point auto focus.
Unfortunately, the W63CA is probably only due in Japan. But here’s to importing.
