Everyone knows about global warming and deforestation so what better way to save the planet than to invent paper that deletes all your work 24 hours after you have written it! Xerox announced this wacky idea on Friday and said it will be appearing at Wired NextFEST at some point over the next two weeks.
The folks at Xerox managed to pull this off by making the paper with chemicals that darken when they come into contact with a special wavelength of light. This means that no ink will have to be used and it will fade allowing for reuse. I’m not qute sure what people would use the paper for, you couldn’t exactly write a term paper on it but i’m sure the criminal world will find a use if it is ever commercially released.
