According to Citi Group analyst Rich Gardner, and by way of Apple Insider, Apple has already begun shipping new Macbooks from China to US shores. I have no clue how he confirmed this, but in a ‘company flash’ bulletin he wrote:
“Field checks confirm that shipments of new MacBooks have begun, with a sharp production ramp planned for September and an introduction planned for early October,” he wrote. “The most distinctive features of the new MacBook appear to be a very thin aluminum casing, an LED-backlit display and an aggressive entry-level price point.”
The new Macbooks will purportedly have a very thin aluminum case, an LED backlit display (yay battery) and an aggressive entry-level price point. As rumored a few days ago, Apple will unveil the new lappies on October 14th.
