Apple’s iPhone 2.1 firmware update is definitely a keeper according to numerous user reports and website reviews. Fixes include better reception, reduced dropped calls, longer battery life, reduced crashing and hanging, faster application installation, improved email reliability, and more.

Looks like the iPhone is finally out of “beta”, eh? IMHO, if you have the patience, it’s usually smart to wait a while before buying anything. That way, the early adopters aka beta testers aka suc…err techno hip have a chance to sort out the bugs.
