Garmin’s “Free” Lifetime Traffic Reports Are Ad Supported

It seems Garmin’s free lifetime traffic reports on their new nuvi 7×5 and 2×5 series come with a gotcha: Ads! As they say, nothing in life is truly free so don’t expect it here, folks. And I don’t blame Garmin; they have a business to run.
Electronic billboards aside, the new nuvis are excellent products and I can say from personal experience that Garmin offers solid, easy to use GPS units.
