After numerous delays, Sprint finally announced the release date of the Airave signal booster: August 17, 2008.

But what in the heck does it do, you ask?

The little $99.99 device plugs into your broadband and blasts out a CDMA (cell phone) signal into the deepest, dankest part of your dead-zone basement. This is a great concept, other carriers (AT&T hint hint) should take note.
