Lenovo is hittin’ the pre Q4 game with a fury.  Today, they unleashed some details about the next iteration of the Thinkpad X300, appropriately dubbed X301.  If you recall, this it the PC laptop Mossberg of the WSJ dubbed the Macbook Air competitor, or something to that degree.  Anyway, on with the specs:

  • Intel Core 2 Duo ULV U9300 (1.2GHz) and U9400 (1.4GHz)
  • 2GB of DDR3 RAM + 80GB or 128GB solid state hard drives
  • WiFi N, GPS, Wireless USB, WiMAX (later this year)
  • 13.3-inch LED backlit display

Expect the Lenovo X301 notebook to be available August 26, 2008 starting at $2,600
