Lenovo Shows Off Newest Ideapad At 2008 Olympics
August 18th, 2008 6:22 PM | by Christen da CostaLenovo launched their latest mobile computer (aka large handset) to what I’d call little fanfare at this year’s Beijing Olympics. The Ideapad U8 hasn’t hit US shores yet and no release date is known, but it rocks an 800MHz Intel Atom Z500 processor, 1GB of RAM (up to 2GB supported), 6GB SSD, dual cameras, 5-hour battery life, and support for mobile TV. Did I mention that it’s got a 4.8-inch touch screen?
I wouldn’t hold your breath on this one, for a state side arrival that is. Looks a bit too obscure and expensive for the general US population, and those that were socioeconomically applicable have already signed their souls away to AT&T via the iPhone.
