New Macbooks To Sport Non-Intel Chips (rumor)
July 29th, 2008 10:10 AM | by Christen da CostaI’d take this with a grain of salt. For Apple to suddenly revert to a proprietary chip for the Macbook, or some other brand, it would be a step back. What’s made them so successful in recent, is crossing over the PC divide or gap. The iPod got them into everyone’s home, but the Intel chip was the bridge that Apple wanted, in fact needed to start selling their computers to those non-believing PC user. Now Apple’s the number 3 PC maker.
According to the Bizjournal (via Appleinsider, etc) we might see new Macbooks in 6-8 weeks.
