Scratching your head yet based on my title?  The Belkin BreakFree uses the same principal as Apple’s Magsafe power cords.  When, and if the something yanks on the cord leading to your guitar or amp, the cord will simply detach without damaging the components. According to Belkin the BreakFree Connectors will provide ‘noise-free dynamic sound without any degradation in audio quality.’

I’m not sure if it’s the best idea, seeing as guitarists seem to be trying to stay plugged in, hence why they wrap it around the guitar’s strap.
