I caught this on 60 Minutes Sunday night. The Ray Gun is the real deal as you’ll see depicted in this 60 minutes piece (this version has been edited for online). The ray gun penetrates 1/64 of an inch of your body – just below your skin and leaves no permanent damage if used properly. It can be used from a distance that far exceeds today’s nonlethal, crowd controlling weapons making it ideal for use during riots and crowd control. Technically known as the Active Denial System, it has yet to see true field testing due to beauracratic BS, which believe it or not, is partially due to its non-lethal qualities. In the last 10 years it’s been tested 11,000 times with the worst side effects ranging from rashes to small blisters.
