Touch Sreen — 22 February 2008

Ordering at any restaurant never seems to be a simple task, especially if you have a half witted high school kid manning your table. The Teroka Deli Touch Pen might change all that. The pen is simply touched to a picture that reads the embedded barcode, and the order is received. I don’t know what happens if you touch the wrong item, but perhaps their is some sort of confirmation process. 45,000 Yen a month (yes, Japan only right now) or about $420/month and includes 30 pens. Cheaper then a touch screen system and half as fragile. I wonder if they include some sort of tethering device for the pens?
