One of the dangers of enjoying GPS navigation is the inherent distraction. The GPS MirrorPilot looks to eliminate this problem. Integrated into the rearview mirror is an ANTARIS 4 GPS receiver and a 65k color, 2.2” QVGA screen where directions can be viewed in a 2D or 3D format. Memory is stored on an SD card, which should allow for additional maps and countries to be added. Input is had through an infrared remote, a built-in speaker will announce directions, and when powered downed the MirrorPilot appears as a regular rearview.
