You can definitely file this under gimmicky. The RingBoxx is apparently the first device that can produce truly custom ring tones for a landline. You can customize the RingBoxx with sound clips, songs, and even comedic greetings. As with many of today’s cell phones, you can associate numbers with ring tones and disregard pesky sales solicitors. To add additional ring tones to the box, just plug it in via USB to your PC and download. The device includes 10 free ring tone ‘credits’. To download additional songs just visit the manufature’s website. Insert a 1GB flash SD card and increase ring capacity to 250 tones.
Available here for $70, but you can get from the manufacture for cheaper here. If you’re really feeling it, you can get it branded with your favorite college team.
