Alltel and Spinvox launched their Voice2TXT (voice to text) service today. It’ll cost you, and you’re limited depending on what you pay and there’s no unlimited option. It’s available on all phone models, which makes sense since it happens ‘voicemail/server side’ and not in the phone. Just think if the iPhone could do this and it happened ‘phone side’. Seems useless to me if you get a ton of voicemails or long voicemails. Unless the voicemailee is presented with the option and there’s a character limit, then just forget it.
