8GB iPhone Price Drop

iPhone 4GB Discontinued
The 8GB iPhone will drop to $399 starting today. Should we expect the same on the 4GB?

I can hear the pitter patter of Apple fans racing to the store!

Update: Looks like Apple has discontinued the 4GB (see pic above). I’ve read that the AT&T stores are selling them for $299. You can also pick them up at Apple.com

Update 2: I wasn’t gonna post this but just in case…You can now get $100 back from Apple if you promise to remain a customer (wink). You’re also covered by Apple’s 14 day price protection so just Segway into your local Apple store and you’ll get $200 cash. Last but not least, if you bought the iPhone on a credit card with price protection give them a ring and see what they can do. Amex is honoring them according to Gizmodo.

I think this may be my last mac product. 33% drop and 4 days to late to take advantage of it. I guess this is the new apple.

are you serious? two months ago i payed $200 more. what is this?

Wait…you’re complaining about a price drop that makes it more affordable? You know…the old 1984 mac was 2000 dollars with less features and now you can get a mac mini with 1000x more performance for 400 dollars, do you want to complain about that too?

I bought one at the ATT store for 299 today and couldn’t be happier. Think of this as a casualty of being an early adopter, how do you think people who paid 1200 for a blu ray player feel now that theres a blu ray for 500 or less comin for the holidays? Its just the nature of electronics that prices drop and fast if you don’t want to experience it don’t buy the high end, get a 60 dollar phone that will only drop to 40 dollars.
