Video of Sony’s New Walkman: NW-A800

The guys over at DAPReview tracked down a video preview of Sony’s new MP3 player, or as they call it the “NW-A800 Sony Walkman”. The interface closely resembles that of the PSP and the device makes video playback possible. The NW-A800’s small and awkwardly designed buttons make operation look painful, especially for those with big hands. Furthermore, navigation looks like it will require two hands. Do I think it will succeed? “OH, HELL NO!” as Will Smith likes to say (see Independence Day and other Will Smith flix). They are way too late to market on this thing, but that’s why Sony’s Consumer Electronics unit has been struggling for years now. They’d probably benefit from spinning the department off into a more independent thinking unit and do what Steve Job’s did when he came back to Apple: cut back the number of products in R&D….my two cents. On the upside, these guys say the headphones that come packed with the device deliver a tight fit and good bass response.

Sony’s still launch the new product with not-really different design. But this gadget realease a bit late, I think (just a preview) this gadget not really different from ipod video, it’s just has te wider screen and I don’t think it will hit th market with that…
cool!
i have the old mp3 walkman and i think the styling is much better on the old one
