cingular is never any fun when it comes to their prepaid rates. Its like they bully prepaid customers! I mean c’mon, they’re rates are ridculously high, and for what? I mean a penny per KB for mobile web, even when you’re trying to buy a game or ringtone from them? That’s pretty stupid. I think they should come up with a $15-$35 a month unlimited prepaid texting AND data. Now if they could do that, that would be the EFFING best!

I agree, cingulars text messaging to everyone for 20$ is such a ripoff.
seriously, if they were to forget the mobile to mobile and just turn that into texting for all services, even raise it to 10 dollers, that would make them definately dominate over the other phone companies.
instead they are choosing to rip people off and letting the other companies have the profits.
in the long run this is going to hurt them more than help them, they just dont see it.

I just copied this entire webpage and sent it to cingular via their "contact us" link. Hopefully all the above mentioned prayers will be heard by the Almight corporate executives who, so badly need to make few more millions in addition to the ones the already are taking home each month. They need bring themself down to our- middle class, working people who make up majority of there consumer base.

i think that cingular needs to lower the unlimted texting price verizon’s price is about 10 dollars for unlimited and cingualar’s price is 20 i think its ridiculous

Okay, here is the plan!!!!!!!!! If you want cingular to hear you go up to contact us, put in your REAL email and type in your REAL name and put in your comments or concerns. (in this case concerns) These they have to read, and these they will pay more attention to. I am just trying to help, I already put in my concern and I read through all 54 of these messeges trying to put it all in one paragraph. I did it, and I hope they read it. If we all did it, having the same concern as everyone else, they will surely fix something. At least the texting to different networks and not the mobile to mobile.

It should be $5 a month for 200 free texts and $10 a month for unlimited to anywhere. I think that it is pretty dumb to pay that much for unlimited and only be able to text the people in cingular!

Okay, we did the plan were you have 200 texts a month. That didn’t work out too well cause I used it up in one day! Thats $10 for one freakin day of the month. I mean how do you live without texting! My dad bought the unlimited texting but he said that it cost him $30, I mean that is ridiculous, I don’t even know if I can send to people not in cingular with that! What kind of people are you? You are going to loose all of your customers, including me if you don’t lower your prices!

why on earth should we pay 20 dollars for unlimited texting, you guys are going to start loosing alot of customers ,when other companies are asking for half that price, to text all networks.
And some are FREE!!!!!!!!!!!

some people like texting.
In some ways it is just like writing a story
I love to read and I love to text
and I know I am good at both subjects.
i agree with u in some cases
some people do overtext
but if the child pays for the phone and the monthly costs would you think it mattered so much
I beleive your more angry with the bill than the money

So, mom1…. Your child does not read his text messages that he receives? It doesn’t take much to run up that bill, especially when it costs to receive them as well. It’s not just kids getting addicted to texting as well. I can tell you that the education system has never improved since it started. Texting has not been out that long, nor computers or cars or video games… So what is it?

Kids are turing into text messaging addicts! Why can’t they just dial the number and speak to their friends like normal people do? Phones are communication devices, not toys. All of the texting is disruptive, time consuming, and unnecessary. If kids spent as much time READING as they do texting, our education system would be much improved. It’s amazing how parents will spend the $5 – $20 per month for text messaging, but will not do their job as a parent to be a part of their child’s education! I have disabled my son’s texting capabilities after just one month’s enormous bill and realizing the amount of time that must have been expended in him doing so.

Cingular is the worst company when it comes to text messaging. If they would just listen to their customers and have unlimited text messaging for the whole family for less than 10 dollars monthly, than their business would grow. Our family is switching companies as soon as our contract is over, unless Cingular can “get with the program.”
