While I enjoy the simple interface and decent sound of my Specktone, my biggest complaint would be that my ipod does not charge while it's playing.

I got a white one, Version 2 that has a remote for $69.00. For the money it is a great little system! Had to tweak the highs a bit. The bass is boomy but acceptable. Looks cool and diffrent. Remote works across the room fine. For the price I do not think there is anything on the market that comes close. It can also play very loud! It is a good product and the value is there. Simple and nice.

i think Speck needs to do some tweaking for this system to make a solid dent in the market. Slightly higher end sound drivers would make a significant difference. It would also benefit from a remote, so us lazy types don't have to get up every time we want to skip some music. With a little revision, the SpeckTone Retro could become a very popular system. In the meantime, I'll stick with my little JBL Onstage, which uses a lot less real estate in my living room.
