PS3 More Important then a Gunshot Wound
On November 17th Michael Penkala stood first in line at the Putnam, Connecticut Walmart with hopes of purchasing a PS3. He came prepared with $2,600, but what happened next no one could have prepared for – unless of course they owned a flack jacket. Penkala was approached by 3 robbers demanding money. Before getting to his Wallet he dialed ’911′ and scared off the robbers, but as they fled one managed to squeeze off one shotgun blast from about 10 feet away. According to Penkala, as he lay bleeding on the lobby floor of the Walmart and coughing up blood, he found the mite to request to store employees that his PS3 funds be given to his three friends who stood in line – AMAZING. Penkala spent 8 days in the hospital and ended up with 4 PS3s, one a gift from Walmart.
