Origami Cell Phone

Inventables has posted a really cool cell phone concept — the Origami Cell Phone. Inspired by electronic ink, the Origami Cell Phone would feature a paper screen that automatically unfolds (using an origami folding technique) as the cell phone opens. This would make for a huge screen squeeze into a small form factor.

Assuming e-paper ends up being pretty durable, this would actually be a really cool invention. Imagine having a full 800 x 600 display on your clamshell smart phone.

Electronic Ink tech is totally over rated.

Are you kidding me? electronic Ink is the future man and this looks like the first practical use!!

I wonder if phones will even look like that in the 10’s (the decade where we will likely see e-ink in wide use). Whille the design is cool, it looks very clumsy. A pocket address book form factor would be much better
